The apple pie, the timeless dessert of grandma that everyone loves, each with their own recipe, and that we will never stop making. For me, one of the tastiest cakes, soft and delicious. The classic Italian Sunday dessert to end family meals, also ideal for breakfast or a snack, perhaps eaten while still warm… amazing with all its aroma!! This recipe is the traditional one, very simple and quick, but if you want, you can change some ingredients like replacing the butter with oil or not adding it at all and adding a jar of yogurt, or for those who don’t like milk, adding fruit juices, etc. It’s a very versatile and good cake even if you don’t follow the same ingredients. All that’s left is to try it and enjoy!!

- 3 eggs
- 3 apples
- 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Steps
First, cut the butter into pieces and let it soften at room temperature; it should be soft.
Then peel and cut the apples into cubes or slices, place them in a container and add the lemon juice and a bit of sugar. Set them aside.
In a bowl, put the eggs and sugar, beat until you get a light and fluffy mixture, then add the milk and continue beating.
Take the soft butter pieces and add them to the mixture, continue mixing with the beaters, and add the grated lemon zest.
At this point, start adding the sifted flour mixed with the baking powder a little at a time. Add the cinnamon and mix everything well.
Butter and flour the cake pan, pour the mixture, and place the apples on the surface. Bake at 350°F in a preheated ventilated oven for 25/30 minutes. Always do the toothpick test to ensure it’s cooked.
