Ground Meat Casserole

Ingredients

  • 28 oz mixed ground meat
  • 2 eggplants
  • 1.75 oz Canestrato Pugliese cheese (or another of your choice)
  • 10.5 oz mozzarella
  • 3 slices of cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • salt
  • pepper
  • grated Parmesan cheese
  • sweet paprika
  • ground turmeric
  • green pepper
  • breadcrumbs
  • oil

Steps

  • First, clean and cube the eggplant. In a pan, add oil, heat it up, and then add the eggplant, ground meat, and salt. Cover and cook for about 20/25 minutes.

  • At the end of cooking, pour everything into a container and let it cool a bit, then season with the eggs and all the other ingredients.

  • Then take a baking dish, add a drizzle of oil, arrange the meat, and place the sliced mozzarella on top, covering the entire surface.

  • Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, and a drizzle of oil.

  • Bake in a hot oven at 392°F for 30 minutes.
