A dish that can be made of meat, fish, or vegetables, cooked in a stew, fried, in sauce, etc., always excellent and tasty for young and old alike. Meatballs have always been one of those recipes that solve the problem of a quick second course or a complete meal like meatballs in sauce, the recipe I propose to you, made with pasta dressed with the sauce and the second course already ready. You don’t need to be a chef or know how to cook to prepare meatballs, but on my blog, there are simple recipes that I love to keep in mind, so I couldn’t miss this one. The seasoning of the meat can have different variations from aromas to the addition of bread, to those without eggs; in short, everyone can add or remove an ingredient as they please. I seasoned them in the simplest way possible, just with egg, parsley, parmesan, salt, and pepper. Enjoy your meal!!!
- Difficulty: Very difficult
- Cost: Economical
- Preparation time: 15 Minutes
- Portions: 14 Pieces
- Cooking methods: Stove
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 1.54 lbs mixed ground meat
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsps grated parmesan
- parsley
- salt
- pepper (optional)
- Half onion
- 4.2 cups tomato sauce
- oil
- salt
Tools
- Pan
Steps
First, prepare a simple sauce. In the pan, put a drizzle of oil and the chopped onion, let it brown a little and add the sauce and a little salt. Cook for about 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the meatballs. In a container, put the ground meat, egg, parmesan, parsley, salt, and pepper (optional).
Mix all the ingredients well. At this point, form the meatballs, taking an amount of meat that you desire based on the size you want to give, mine are 1.76 oz each.
After preparing all the meatballs, start placing them in the sauce one at a time, (try to use a wide pan to avoid overlapping the meatballs).
When you have finished adding the meatballs, move the pan slowly in circular movements. Cover with a lid, lower the heat, and cook for about 25 minutes. Do not turn them with utensils until they are well set.
Storage
You can store the meatballs in sauce in the refrigerator for 2 days. If you prefer, you can prepare the meatballs a day in advance to cook them later.
