Orange paste is a flavoring often used in pastry, mainly for panettone, pandoro, colombe, brioche, but also for desserts like cakes, snacks, pastries, etc. This natural flavoring gives the dessert an extraordinary aroma, especially when homemade. Very easy to make, you will only need oranges and sugar, nothing else. Similarly, you can also prepare mandarin and lemon paste. I mainly use orange and mandarin paste for making panettone, essential for giving aroma and flavor. For this recipe, it’s preferable to use unwaxed oranges or lemons, as the peel is also used. Recipes may vary in preparation method; some use only the pulp and juice, while others add honey. Here is my simple recipe for you!!
