Ingredients for Baked Cauliflower Gratin

  • Half cauliflower
  • 1 cup cups breadcrumbs
  • 1.5 tbsp tbsps extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • to taste ground turmeric

Steps for Baked Cauliflower Gratin

  • Remove the leaves from the cauliflower and cut it in half. Gently separate the florets or cut into slices and pieces. Precision is not necessary.

Using a brush, coat all the florets with the extra virgin olive oil, then dip them in breadcrumbs and turmeric.

Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Bake in a fan-assisted oven at 356°F for about 25 minutes. I recommend using the grill for the last 5 minutes of cooking to make them beautifully golden.

Cooking Tips and Alternatives

The cauliflower gratin florets can also be prepared with a super-fast microwave cooking method. Follow the same preparation steps, then place the florets in a microwave dish or crisp plate and cook in crisp mode for 15 minutes or in combined mode for 15 minutes, then grill for another 3 or 4 minutes.

The result will be perfect.

The cauliflower gratin florets can be prepared in advance and will remain crispy even the next day. Store them in an airtight container. I do not recommend freezing them.
