What you need to make Homemade Air Fryer Spinach Patties

  • 1 Food Processor Food Processor
  • 1 Air Fryer air fryer
  • 1 Air Fryer Parchment Paper parchment paper for air fryer

Steps for Homemade Air Fryer Spinach Patties

  • Cut the chicken breast into thin strips. Also, cook the spinach as you prefer, boiled or steamed. I use the microwave, steaming on high power for 5 minutes.

In the food processor, place the chicken breast strips and run the blades for 10 seconds. If necessary, use a teaspoon to bring the minced meat back to the center. Now add the well-squeezed spinach, and the parmesan.

Run the processor for another 20 seconds. You should have a fairly homogeneous mixture. If not, let the blades run a little longer.

Pour the breadcrumbs into a plate and, taking some of the mixture, shape the spinach patties, coating them well.

  • Now I recommend, before cooking them, to keep them in the freezer for at least 30 minutes. In any case, you can freeze them in a bag, dividing them with parchment paper. They will keep for about a month.

To cook them, lay the parchment paper in the air fryer and cook at 392 F for 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can cook them in the microwave with the Crisp function for 5 minutes.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

  • Can I cook the spinach patties immediately after preparing them?

I recommend letting them firm up in the freezer for about half an hour before cooking to maintain their shape and texture.

  • Can I add salt to the recipe?

You can add salt to the mixture before coating it with breadcrumbs. I prefer to salt the patties only after they are cooked.
