Ingredients for Quick Light Peppers

  • 14 oz peppers
  • 1.5 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • to taste salt

What You May Need for Quick Light Peppers

  • 1 Microwave Oven Microwave Oven
  • 1 Air Fryer Air Fryer
  • 1 Baking Dish Microwave Baking Dish

Simple Steps for Quick Light Peppers

  • Start by cutting the peppers, removing the seeds and filaments, and rinse them well under running water.

You can cut them into strips (or across to make them more digestible, breaking the internal filaments)

Now place them in a baking dish and season with oil and salt, then put them in the microwave (or air fryer) on CRISP mode for 10 minutes. Alternatively, you can use the microwave and grill combination 650 w for the same time.

After this time, remove from the oven, mix, and add the breadcrumbs. Return to the oven for another 10 minutes, with the previously indicated settings.

Let them cool slightly, and they are ready, crispy on the outside and soft inside like pan-cooked, but healthier and faster.

Storage and Tips

Peppers prepared this way can be made in large quantities and stored vacuum-sealed in the freezer, or alternatively in an airtight container in the fridge.

In the freezer, they can be kept for 2 months, in the fridge for 4-5 days.
