  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 pinch salt
  • Half teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 cup sugar (granulated or brown)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup jam (flavor of choice)

Steps

The easy process to make Valentine’s spiced cookies

  • Place all the ingredients in the mixer in the order listed, alternating between pulses. Leave the egg for last. Once all the ingredients are well combined, add the egg and let the mixer work.

    Place the dough on a board and with a pinch of flour, form a dough ball and let it rest in the fridge for just 10 minutes.

  • Roll out the dough on a tray using parchment paper, and cut the cookies with a glass. Use the tip of your index finger to make indentations in the cookies and then fill these with a teaspoon of jam.

  • Bake in the oven for 10 minutes at 340°F (170°C) with fan. They will remain slightly puffy and soft, be careful not to overbake them.
