  • 1 cup Vegetable Broth
  • g Grana Padano (Grated)

Preparation

  • First of all, prepare the vegetable broth by boiling chopped vegetables like carrots, potatoes, celery, and onions for twenty/thirty minutes in a liter of salted water. The vegetables can be put in cold water.
    If you really don’t have time, then use a vegetable broth cube by dissolving it in boiling water.

  • Then pour the oil into the pot and add the finely chopped onion. Sauté for two/three minutes and add the rice. Toast the rice and also add the roughly blended canned tomatoes.

  • Chop two or three basil leaves and add them to the pot. Stir and continue cooking by adding the broth one ladle at a time as you go. Stir the rice with sauce often and cook for about 17/20 minutes.

  • After about 25/thirty minutes, finally taste the rice with tomato and basil sauce, which should not be overcooked but al dente. At this point, melt the knob of butter inside and serve the dish steaming hot. Finally, garnish the rice with more basil leaves.
