With these caramelized cinnamon rolls with brown sugar, you can create a Christmas centerpiece and for the holidays in general.
A rather delicious idea that can be made quickly using ready-to-use puff pastry.
An idea created by my daughter that fully satisfies those like me who love and appreciate the aroma and taste of cinnamon, a spice widely used for Swedish and Dutch desserts especially.
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Economical
- Preparation time: 20 Minutes
- Portions: 4
- Cooking methods: Air Frying
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 1 package puff pastry
- to taste ground cinnamon
- to taste brown sugar
- to taste milk
Tools
- Brush
- Air fryer
- Parchment paper
Steps
Unroll the puff pastry package and prick it with a fork to promote cooking.
Brush the surface with milk and generously sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
Cut into 1.5 to 2 inch wide strips and roll as shown in the image. This way, you will get about thirteen rolls.
Place in the air fryer on a sheet of parchment paper sprinkled with brown sugar and cook at 375°F for about fifteen minutes. If you don’t have an air fryer, you can also use an electric oven for thirteen minutes at 400°F.
Repeat the operation in two batches since the air fryer cannot hold all the rolls.
You will notice that the baked rolls become caramelized with melted sugar on the base. What a unique treat.
I enjoyed composing this cinnamon roll wreath centerpiece since we are approaching the Christmas holidays, and if you like, you can copy the idea.

However, double the quantities with two rolls of puff pastry for a larger amount. If you want bigger rolls, cut the strips from the wider side of the ready-made pastry.
