Classic Cocoa Tiramisu

This morning I’m preparing classic cocoa tiramisu, perfect for celebrating my husband’s birthday in style. With this dessert that you prepare cold, it’s impossible to fail. Very well-known and made with truly “special” ingredients including our Italian coffee, which revives. 🙂

Classic Cocoa Tiramisu
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Cost: Medium
  • Preparation time: 30 Minutes
  • Portions: 6 people
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 14 oz Ladyfingers
  • 3 Eggs (Fresh)
  • 3 tbsps Sugar
  • 5 cups Coffee (About six small cups)
  • 0.4 cups Water
  • 1 Liquor (Bitter)
  • to taste Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cups Mascarpone
  • 1.3 cups Fresh whipping cream

Preparation

  • First, prepare the large coffee maker for six cups. Or use the small coffee maker and repeat the process. Pour into a dish and let cool.

  • Then separate the egg yolks from the whites. Beat the yolks in a bowl with the sugar until frothy.

  • Then whisk the egg whites to stiff peaks. Mix well in the bowl with the sugared yolks, the mascarpone, the whipped egg whites, and also add the whipped cream.

  • Dilute the coffee mixed with liquor with a glass of cold water, in a dish and soak the ladyfingers just right.

  • Place the soaked ladyfingers on a tray in order, preparing a base and generously cover them with the obtained cream, and a dusting of unsweetened cocoa powder on top.

  • Put a second layer of ladyfingers soaked in coffee on top of the first, the remaining cream, and finish with a dusting of unsweetened cocoa powder. The finished tiramisu should preferably be stored in the refrigerator.

Classic Cocoa Tiramisu

I’m sure my husband will be happy and appreciate the classic cocoa tiramisu which looks good. The tiramisu should be kept in the refrigerator and it is advisable in winter to not conserve it beyond four days, and of course, in summer, it should be consumed immediately or at the latest, the next day. For this dessert, some also use ladyfingers. Equally good, but for my part, I use ladyfingers as they are more convenient and give me good results in terms of taste.                               Also, come check out my social networks pinterest instagram twitter facebook
