I must admit I am a coffee connoisseur. How can you not love our aromatic Italian espresso? A few days ago, I discovered that it can be flavored with cinnamon. My daughter requested it at the café, and I was skeptical, but then I wanted to try it at home, and I’m telling you how I prepared the coffee with cinnamon powder and milk foam. It’s nothing complicated; I just want to share this experience with you because I must say I liked it even more than when flavored with cocoa. It’s definitely a drink to try.
- Difficulty: Very Easy
- Cost: Very Cheap
- Preparation time: 2 Minutes
- Portions: 2 servings
- Cooking methods: Stovetop
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- as needed coffee (Italian)
- as needed cinnamon powder (a sprinkle)
- water
- milk
Steps
Fill the moka pot with water just below the valve, insert the filter, and add coffee grounds up to the brim.
Sprinkle a little cinnamon powder as shown in the image and close the moka pot.
Turn on the stovetop to low heat and wait for the coffee to brew, usually taking about two or three minutes.
Meanwhile, froth the milk in the frother, and when the coffee is ready, serve it in a cup with two teaspoons of foam and a little more cinnamon on top for a more intense cinnamon coffee aroma. A slice of cinnamon cake is a delightful accompaniment to the coffee with cinnamon.
Coffee with Cinnamon Powder and Milk Foam
Have you ever had the coffee not come out of the moka pot? A friend taught me that by cooling the bottom of the moka under running water and putting it back on the flame, it works again. Indeed, I can confirm, but… if it still doesn’t work, just discard the little highly concentrated harmful coffee that has come out and make a new one, cleaning the filter thoroughly.

FAQ (Questions and Answers)
How much water should you add to the boiler of the Italian moka pot?
Fill just below the valve and not beyond. This allows the moka pot to function properly.
