Coffee Viennese cold with ice cream: How to prepare? It was offered to you, and perhaps you want to prepare it in the same way, but you’ve never done it before. I assure you it’s not at all complicated with this recipe that I recently found in an old cookbook titled: “New Cooking Guide.” In summer, Viennese coffee is a refreshing and energizing drink useful for restoring energy when the heat is oppressive. Vanilla ice cream is the most recommended, but it can also be replaced with yogurt and zabaglione, in my opinion. Certainly delicious even if the original recipe calls for vanilla. In this case, it cannot be called “Viennese coffee” 🙂 but I believe it certainly won’t be unpleasant to drink. To cool down, this cold Viennese coffee is certainly the best.
- Difficulty: Easy
- Cost: Medium
- Preparation time: 10 Minutes
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons Ice Cream (Vanilla)
- 4 glasses Coffee (Semi-strong or diluted with water)
- 4 tablespoons Fresh liquid cream (Whipped)
- 4 Cookies
- to taste Liqueur (Coffee-flavored)
Tools
- Food processor
Preparation
Prepare the coffee and sweeten to taste. Dilute with water if prepared the Italian way and let it cool. Place in the refrigerator for two hours.
Whip the dessert cream and store in the refrigerator until needed. Before serving the Viennese coffee, put a heaping tablespoon of vanilla ice cream in the bottom of each glass.
Drizzle with some coffee liqueur and pour the cold coffee on top.
Add the whipped cream to the cold Viennese coffee, at least one tablespoon per portion, and finally garnish with a cookie that is excellent for dipping in the Viennese coffee.
Cold Viennese Coffee with Ice Cream: How to Prepare
How to prepare cold Viennese coffee with ice cream? It’s really simple and guaranteed to impress coffee lovers. Italians used to strong coffee might find it light, but I recommend it as a summer drink. Better to not overdo it with caffeine and maintain a good balance with stimulating drinks.
