Creamy Rustic Potatoes Ham and Rosemary

The creamy rustic potatoes, cooked ham, and rosemary is a recipe I tried for dinner, also to use up the boiled potatoes from the day before. The good creamy rustic potatoes and ham is an experiment that I would say turned out quite well. I recommend trying it even when the potatoes are not leftover. 🙂

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Puff Pastry (Rolled and ready to use)
  • 7 oz Cooked Ham (Single slice)
  • 5 Cheese Slices
  • 2 Eggs
  • to taste Butter
  • 2 Potatoes (Boiled)
  • to taste Rosemary

Tools

  • Potato Masher
  • Rolling Pin
  • Mold or on the baking dish
  • Oven

Preparation

  • Roll out the puff pastry a little with the rolling pin and prick it with a fork to help it cook. Brush the pastry with the beaten egg.

  • Mash the boiled potatoes and sauté them in a pan with butter, chopped ham, and rosemary. Then place the filling in the center of the puff pastry and add the cheese slices in pieces.

  • Close the pastry like a package to prevent the creamy rustic potato ham filling from leaking out during cooking and brush the surface with the beaten egg. Bake on the oven plate lined with baking paper and cook for about 25/30 minutes.

Double the quantities because one rustic won’t be enough for seconds that will surely be requested. 🙂 Prefer to use ready-to-use rectangular puff pastry. Fresh rosemary gives an even more intense aroma that allows you to appreciate the recipe to the fullest.
