Ginger Candies for Sore Throat and Nausea

Ginger Candies for Sore Throat and Nausea
  • Difficulty: Medium
  • Cost: Cheap

  • Cooking methods: Stovetop
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Water
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh ginger (Grated)
  • 1 teaspoon Honey

Tools

  • Small pot
  • Teaspoon
  • Small silicone molds
  • Freezer

Preparation

  • Pour the sugar, water, lemon juice, ginger, and honey into a small pot and mix the ingredients.

Heat on the stove for about two minutes until you see a caramel form.

  • To ensure the caramel is not too liquid, take a little with the spoon and drop a bit on a ceramic plate.

After a few seconds, you will notice if it remains soft or hardens.

If it’s still liquid, add another half teaspoon of brown sugar.

  • Use small silicone molds or perhaps those from candy purchased at the pharmacy. Do not discard them after finishing the box bought at the pharmacy, but keep them for this purpose.

Pour a little warm caramel into each cavity with the teaspoon.

  • Place the molds in the freezer for two minutes.

Remove from the fridge and detach the candies.

  • Place them inside a tin box.

Repeat the process until you have used up all the caramel.

Warm up the liquid again if you have difficulty pouring into the molds.

Ginger Candies for Sore Throat and Nausea

Simple? Yes, it is really very simple to prepare ginger candies for sore throat and nausea, believe me, but the result is amazing. One leads to another, even if you don’t have a sore throat or nausea. They aren’t medicines, and they’re so small. 🙂
