Homemade heart-shaped Nutella chocolates flavored with orange are quite simple to make; all you need is a jar of quality Nutella and an orange for the aroma.
Heart-shaped molds are perfect for Valentine’s Day if you plan to make them for this occasion, but you can use any shape.

- Rest time: 30 Minutes
- Preparation time: 15 Minutes
- Portions: 4
- Cuisine: Italian
Ingredients
- 3 tbsp Nutella®
- 1 orange (Use only the grated zest)
Steps
In a bowl, pour three tablespoons of Nutella. The Nutella should be soft at room temperature, not melted but not too dense either. If necessary, soften it for a few seconds in the microwave.
Wash an orange well and grate the zest. Prefer organic oranges bought from a trusted greengrocer.
Pour the grated orange into the Nutella and mix well.
Wet the molds with water and fill them with the orange-flavored Nutella mixture using the teaspoon until full.
Place the molds in the freezer for about thirty minutes.
Remove the molds from the refrigerator and gently press on the back to release the Nutella chocolates.
Serve these homemade heart-shaped Nutella chocolates with a good cup of coffee, perhaps even for Valentine’s Day if you like the idea.
Homemade Nutella Chocolates Flavored with Orange
If there is too much orange zest, use less. Don’t forget to wet the molds with water before filling them, as it helps in releasing the homemade Nutella chocolates.
