Puff pastry savory pinwheels are perfect for enhancing a party buffet and also as an appetizer. With their unique pinwheel shape, they cheer up and are so good because they contain tempting ingredients like tuna, olives, etc… At first glance, seeing them, one wonders how they are made and if they are difficult to prepare. It’s what I thought too, but you just need to get the hang of it. The idea of pinwheels isn’t mine and I copied it, but as I almost always do, I personalized the recipe, adding my favorite ingredients for the filling. I share it because they turned out quite well and might also appeal to those who follow my blog and want to have fun trying new recipes.

Ingredients
- 2 Packages Puff Pastry
- 5.6 oz Canned Tuna in Oil
- 1 cup Green Olives (pitted)
- 1 tbsp Capers in Vinegar

Preparation
Prepare a paté by blending together the canned tuna in oil, olives, and capers.
Press on the ready-to-use puff pastry with the lid of a jar or a cup with a diameter of 5 inches to create circles.
Knead the leftover scraps and roll it out to use all the dough and get more circles.
Make cuts on the circles and fold the dough as shown in the image.
Add small patties made from the tuna paté on top, brush with the beaten egg, and bake in the oven at 482°F for about thirteen to fifteen minutes.
Let the savories cool before serving to avoid burns.
Puff Pastry Savory Tuna Pinwheels
Puff pastry savory tuna pinwheels are a joy for both children and adults. As you can see from the image, some have the tuna patties inside and others on the outside. You can also make them with sausages or other preferred patés, peppers, ham, etc… I’m also thinking of a sweet version 🙂 filled with jam or Nutella, imagine the goodness.
