Recipes with Pomegranate, Exotic Fruit

There are few recipes with pomegranate, an exotic fruit with beneficial properties, which to be honest is quite complicated to eat, that I know of. Now that I have found a way to extract the seeds with little effort, I will apply myself to find and even create some, like the one I propose.
Don’t be discouraged by the difficulties in eating it that you have had in the past. The problem is solved if you soak the pomegranate fruits twelve hours before using them.

Among the beneficial properties of pomegranate are vitamin C, vitamin K, and vitamin B, and it is rich in potassium and minerals.

One of the recipes with pomegranate I propose is the following:

  • Cost: Medium
  • Preparation time: 20 Minutes
  • Portions: 4
  • Cuisine: Italian

  • Pears (1 not too ripe)
  • Pomegranate (1 ripe fruit)
  • Lemon juice (Half a lemon)
  • Ground cinnamon (Sticks can be used for decoration)
  • g Brown sugar (To taste)
  • 2 oz Provolone

Tools

  • Peeler

Preparation

  • As mentioned above, the pomegranate must be soaked beforehand. By making cuts along the length (three or four cuts), even without going too deep, you will allow the water to penetrate and soften it.

  • Break the softened fruit into pieces with your fingers from the slits made with the knife.

Extract the seeds and place them in a bowl. The small remnants of the white pomegranate rind should be removed as they have a bitter taste.

  • Wash the pear with the rind or, if you prefer, you can also remove it, and after removing the core, you can slice it with a peeler or using a food processor.

Add the pear to the bowl with the pomegranate seeds.

  • Squeeze the lemon, pour the juice over, and mix gently.

The lemon not only makes the taste pleasant but also prevents the fruit from turning dark.

Add ground cinnamon and some sticks for decoration.

  • Serve with pieces of cheese.

Add brown sugar only if you prefer it sweeter.
