Ingredients

For the oil shortcrust pastry

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 9 oz 70% dark chocolate
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter (soft, can be replaced with 1/3 cup of vegetable oil)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk

Tools

  • 1 Bowl bowl
  • 1 Blender blender or electric whisks
  • 1 Donut Mold 22/24 cm donut mold

Procedure

How to prepare the Donut Batter with dark chocolate

  • For the batter: In a saucepan, melt the dark chocolate and butter in the milk.
    Add the vanilla and mix well, then let cool.
    Separately, beat the eggs with the sugar until you obtain a frothy mixture
    that has doubled in volume.

    Once the chocolate milk has cooled
    gradually add it to the egg mixture, always using the beaters.

    Finally, add the sifted flour and baking powder.
    Mix everything well with the spatula until you get a well-combined and lump-free soft batter.

  • For baking: Pour the obtained batter into a greased and floured 22/24 cm mold, spreading it throughout the entire mold. Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F and cook for 40/45 minutes. When ready, let your dessert cool for at least 10 minutes before removing it from the mold. Enjoy your snack!

To check that the inside of our cake is cooked, always do the toothpick test. If it comes out dry, it means it’s ready.
