Ingredients for 30 GRANDMA’S RUSTIC COOKIES

For these cookies, you don’t need an endless list of strange items. The real magic lies in simplicity. Here you find the few, honest ingredients grandma always used to create masterpieces. Get them out of the pantry: once mixed, they will create a rustic and wonderfully fragrant dough, ready to embrace our delicious chocolate chips.

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.6 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 vanilla extract
  • 7 oz butter
  • 0.75 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder

STEPS

Forget complicated doughs and hours of resting in the fridge! The beauty of this recipe is its speed. It will only take a few minutes to mix everything (maybe get help from a spoon, like grandma did, or use your hands to feel the texture!). The dough will be soft and workable right away, ready to be transformed into your rustic and unmatched cookies. You’ll see, in no time they’ll be in the oven releasing their aroma!

  • Place the cubed butter, flour, and sugar in the center of a large bowl. Crumble with your hands until you get a crumbly mixture.
Add the eggs, vanilla extract, and baking powder. Knead vigorously and also add the chocolate chips, kneading until you obtain a smooth and homogeneous dough.

  • Form a rectangular dough, place it in the center of a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake at 350°F until golden. Much depends on the type of oven, and it will take about 45/50 minutes. Once done, let it cool slightly and cut slices with a sharp knife. Arrange them on a serving plate and serve our GRANDMA’S RUSTIC COOKIES.
