Orange Bundt Cake in the Air Fryer: the trick to make it tall and fluffy!: If you think the air fryer is only for savory dishes, this Orange Bundt Cake will make you change your mind! It is my favourite cake when I want a fragrant breakfast but don’t want to heat the big oven. Thanks to the air circulation, this bundt cake comes out very tall, fluffy and with that fresh orange aroma that fills the whole house.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sugar (about 150 g)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 orange zest (zest of 1 orange)
  • 2/3 cup fresh orange juice (150 ml / 5 fl oz)
  • 2 cups type 00 flour (about 250 g)
  • 1 packet (about 1 tbsp + 1 tsp) baking powder (16 g)
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seed oil (about 120 g)

Steps

  • Whisk the eggs: Start by whisking the eggs with the sugar until pale, frothy and voluminous. This is the secret to the fluffiness!
    The liquids: Slowly add the sunflower oil and the fresh orange juice while continuing to mix gently.
    The dry ingredients: Fold in the sifted flour and baking powder. Work the batter well with the beaters to ensure there are no lumps.
    Baking: Pour the batter into a greased or oiled 8-inch bundt pan (previously prepared).
     In the Air Fryer: Cook at 320°F for about 35-40 minutes.

STATUS MAMMA’S TIP: Since every air fryer has its own power, always do the toothpick test after 30 minutes. If the surface already looks too browned, you can lay a sheet of aluminum foil on top to finish cooking the inside without burning the top.
