Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
Steps
Mix together in a large bowl the flour, dry yeast, sugar, and salt.
Add the room temperature butter and the egg to the mixture. Mix well until you get a sandy consistency.
Gradually add the lukewarm milk to the mixture, stirring continuously until a soft dough forms.
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-10 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
For those who have a Thermomix, you can use the kneading mode to knead the dough.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a clean cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour,
or until it doubles in volume.Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 392°F and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Divide the risen dough into small pieces of about 2 oz each. Roll each piece into a rectangle with a rolling pin.
Then roll them up, sealing the ends well, and place them on the baking sheet.
Bake the buns in the preheated oven and cook for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden.
Once cooked, take them out hot.
