Pizza Piadina with Double Filling

Pizza piadina with double filling is a quick idea to bring to the table at dinner.

A great solution to satisfy the craving for pizza without having to knead and then bake, especially during the hottest periods!

Even if you use the oven, it’s not for a prolonged time, just a few minutes to melt the cheese.

It can be cooked in the oven, on the stove, in my case I used the pizza oven.

Pizza piadina with double filling could be the perfect dinner saver idea when you have unexpected guests, with just a few ingredients you can end the evening with your friends in good cheer.

Ingredients

  • 2 piadinas
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 3 oz cooked ham
  • 5 slices sliced cured meat
  • to taste salt
  • to taste oregano
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil

Steps

  • In a bowl, pour the tomato sauce and season it with salt, oil, and oregano.

  • Place the piadina in the pan or on the oven tray, in my case I used the Gferrari pizza oven which I usually use for cooking pizzas.
    I find it very convenient and recommend buying it.

  • Fill the piadina with the cooked ham.

  • Add half of the shredded mozzarella.

  • Cover with the second piadina.

  • Spread the tomato sauce on top

  • Finish with the remaining mozzarella and then place 5/6 slices of cured meat on top.
    Cook for about 10 minutes.
    In a pan, use a lid during cooking.
    In the oven, bake at 428°F for 10 minutes.
