Eton Mess No-Fat Dessert

Do you know the eton mess? An English spoon dessert, very indulgent, here in a no-fat eton mess, 0 fat!! A small glass of mixed berries alternated with yogurt and some crumbled meringues.

Being a sweet tooth, when I see something that contains fruit and cream I immediately want to try it. But then I realize, reading the recipes, that very often these cup desserts are full of sugar and heavy cream. So I think, what’s the point of all that sugar and cream when you can sweeten just a little and use light alternatives to whipped cream?

So in this spoon dessert, I replaced the cream with a great 0% fat Greek yogurt (also easily found in a plant-based version).

Ingredients Eton Mess No-Fat Dessert

  • 7 oz (about 3/4 cup) Greek yogurt, 0% fat
  • 2/3 cup (about 3.5 oz) strawberries
  • 2/3 cup (about 3.5 oz) blueberries
  • 1/3 cup (about 1.8 oz) raspberries
  • 4 meringues (small)

Steps Eton Mess No-Fat Dessert

  • Simply layer in a glass the 0% Greek yogurt with strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and crumbled meringues. If you want to enjoy it for breakfast, you can leave out the meringues and save them to decorate the eton mess you will serve at a lunch with friends.

Tips and variations

You can prepare the no-fat eton mess the day before and use any seasonal fruit; Greek yogurt is also very good in a plant-based version.

Instead of meringues use dried fruit or little seeds rich in omega-3.
