  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 3.5 oz cherry tomatoes
  • 1.76 oz Taggiasca olives

Tools

  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Pan 8-9.5 inches

Procedure

The secret to a good Hunter’s Style Chicken is in the cooking. The chicken must absorb the flavor of the ingredients while retaining its juices, remaining tender and juicy.

  • Start by cutting the chicken into uniform bites about 1-1.5 inches thick. You can use thighs, legs, or breast; I recommend the latter as it will be more tender and juicy.

  • After cutting the bites, start slicing the vegetables: the bell pepper into strips and the cherry tomatoes in half. Once cut, put the cherry tomatoes in a pan with a drizzle of oil and cook over medium heat with a couple of tablespoons of water.

When the cherry tomatoes start to create a sauce, add the bell peppers.

  • The trick to making tender Hunter’s Style Bites is to toss them in the hot sauce, sealing the chicken perfectly, keeping the juices inside that will make it tender.

Add the olives and continue cooking over medium heat for another 10-15 minutes. When the chicken is cooked inside and the sauce has thickened, you can turn off the heat.

  • To make the dish even creamier, you can add half a tablespoon of flour halfway through cooking, so the sauce thickens more easily. The flour must always be cooked properly as raw flour could be harmful to health.

You can serve the Chicken Hunter’s Style Bites alone or with Basmati rice. Ensure it doesn’t dry out too much during cooking, so you’ll have some sauce to “glaze” the finished dish.
