Ingredients for 2 people

  • 1 container Greek yogurt 0% fat (150 g)
  • 1 banana (ripe)
  • 0.7 oz cocoa flavored protein powder
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons milk (whole (or soy))

Tools

  • 1 Knife
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 1 Blender
  • 1 Bowl with lid

Procedure

To make good protein ice cream, you really need very little. My advice once prepared is to let it rest in a closed bowl before enjoying it.

  • First, peel the banana and mash it with the yogurt until you get a creamy puree.

If you want, you can use a blender/food processor to do everything there without making a mess around the house.

    Mascarpone and white chocolate cream
  • Now that the banana and yogurt are mixed, all you have to do is add the powders (cocoa and protein) and part of the milk until you pour it all.

Based on your personal taste, you can use milk, whole milk, or soy milk. If you use soy milk, remember that it has a slightly salty aftertaste. You should balance with some honey (1 teaspoon) to balance the flavor.

    cocoa and meringue
  • Now that your protein ice cream is ready, just put it in a container with a lid suitable for the refrigerator. Freeze for 4-5 hours and your ice cream is at the perfect temperature to be served.

Your protein ice cream is ready!

Serving Suggestions:

When the protein ice cream has rested in the fridge, it’s time to bring it to the table. Take a teacup or an ice cream bowl and arrange the protein ice cream using a spoon to form the classic balls.

Protein Ice Cream Wine Pairing:

I would avoid pairing wine with protein ice cream, but if you want, you can serve it with a small glass of Marsala Extra Fine aged 30 years.
