Procedure
Here are the steps to follow to best prepare a delicious dish of tagliatelle with mushrooms and sausage.
If you have time, I recommend making homemade fresh tagliatelle. In 30 minutes, you’ll have delicious tagliatelle ready!
Start by heating a pot of salted water to cook the tagliatelle. Make sure to follow the package instructions for a delicious al dente texture!
If using homemade fresh pasta, 2-3 minutes of cooking will suffice.
Meanwhile, slice the fresh porcini mushrooms thinly. Remove the skin from the fresh sausage and crumble it.
In a non-stick pan, add the crumbled sausage with a drizzle of oil. Cook until it browns and releases its savory juices. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
Add the fresh porcini mushrooms to the pan and cook everything for about 5 minutes, until the mushrooms become soft and release their unmistakable aroma.
When the tagliatelle are ready, drain and add them directly to the pan with the mushroom and sausage seasoning. This will allow the pasta to absorb the flavors during the final mix.
Gently mix everything, ensuring that the tagliatelle are well coated with the seasoning. Add a sprinkle of freshly chopped parsley off the heat.
Your tagliatelle with mushrooms and sausage are ready!
Plating tips:
For a creamier result, you can replace the oil with a knob of butter. This way, the dish will be creamier and more flavorful. Create nests and complete with the seasoning.
Wine pairing for tagliatelle with mushrooms and sausage:
I recommend pairing this dish with a glass of full-bodied red wine. For example, with a Barolo or a Brunello di Montalcino.
