Ingredients

The ingredients that are the heart and soul of this cake are the apples, (preferably ripe and juicy for an unparalleled flavor) and the amaretti (dry and fragrant, with an almond aftertaste, which will add a crunchy and aromatic touch to our cake).

You will create a cake that captures the essence of the seasons and autumn flavors!

  • 3 eggs
  • 3 Golden apples
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 4 1/4 oz amaretti
  • 2 tbsp sunflower seed oil
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 packet vanillin
  • Half lemon

Steps

Start by coarsely crushing the amaretti, you can use a chopper or place the amaretti in a zip-lock bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Set them aside and focus on the apples.

Peel the apples gently, cut two into pieces and reserve one for decoration, slicing it.

Place the apple pieces in the chopper and blend until a coarse consistency is achieved. Add the lemon juice to prevent the apples from oxidizing. Do the same for the apple slices.

In a bowl, add the eggs and sugar and beat for a few minutes until a light and frothy texture is obtained. Add the sunflower seed oil, continue mixing and gradually add the sifted flour, crumbled amaretti (set aside two tablespoons for decoration), baking powder, vanillin, and finally the chopped apples.

Continue mixing until the batter becomes uniform.

Now pour your mixture into a 9.5-inch baking pan previously lined with baking paper and level the surface with a spoon.

Take the sliced apples and use them to decorate the cake, sprinkle with some granulated sugar and the crumbled amaretti.

Place the cake in a preheated oven and bake in static mode at 356°F for 45 minutes.

After baking the cake, let it cool, remove it from the pan, and decorate it with an amaretti in the center! Everyone will fall in love with your apple and amaretti cake!
