  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 50 g taken from the final batter
  • as needed red food coloring
  • 1 tsp milk
  • berry jam

Steps

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a rectangular baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is frothy and pale.

Add the vanilla extract, sift the flour gradually, and gently mix with a spatula until the ingredients are well combined.
