quick filled focaccia
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Preparation time: 15 Minutes
  • Cooking methods: Oven
  • Cuisine: Italian

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup sunflower seed oil
  • 1 tsp salt (Level)
  • 1 packet instant yeast for savory preparations

Steps

  • Start by mixing all-purpose flour, water, milk, sunflower seed oil, and a teaspoon of salt in a bowl; knead, and lastly add a packet of instant yeast for savory preparations.

Next, roll out half of this dough on a baking sheet. Then, add a layer of sliced bacon and slices of smoked scamorza cheese on the rolled-out dough.

Now, cover everything with the remaining half of the dough, making sure to seal the edges well. Bake it at 350°F in a static oven for about 35/40 minutes, or until the focaccia is golden brown.

The final result will be a soft focaccia with a heart of tasty bacon and creamy scamorza.
It’s a perfect option when you’re short on time but want something delicious for dinner.
I hope you’ll love it as much as I did from the first bite! Enjoy your meal!

Tips

The quick filled focaccia is also good the next day.

After it has cooled, store it covered with aluminum foil or in an airtight container.

You can eat it as it is, cold, or reheat it to make it soft and tasty again. Choose your preference and enjoy this dish the next day too!
