Ingredients

  • 1 cup mascarpone
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 7 oz hazelnut cream
  • as needed milk
  • 5 oz ladyfingers (approximately)

Tools

  • Baking Dish

Steps

  • In a bowl, mix the mascarpone with the powdered sugar using a whisk until you get a smooth, lump-free cream.
Pour the milk into a large bowl and quickly dip the ladyfingers one at a time, being careful not to soak them too much. Arrange them in a single layer at the bottom of a baking dish or in glasses for individual servings.
Cover the layer of ladyfingers with a generous amount of mascarpone cream, leveling it with a spatula, add a layer of hazelnut cream and repeat the operation with a second layer of ladyfingers and cream until the ingredients are used up.
Add a dusting of unsweetened cocoa to decorate. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, so the flavors blend perfectly.

Storage

The tiramisu keeps well in the refrigerator, covered with plastic wrap or in an airtight container, for a maximum of 2-3 days. It’s important to keep it tightly closed to prevent it from absorbing odors from other foods.

Tips

For an extra touch, you can flavor the milk with a hint of vanilla or cocoa.

If the Nutella is too thick, gently heat it in a bain-marie or in the microwave to make it easier to work with.
