- 0.35 oz unsweetened cocoa powder
Use my tools!
- Mixers Electric hand mixer
Steps
Preheat the oven to 350°F, butter, and flour a round cake pan with a diameter of 10 inches.
In a large bowl, beat together the room temperature eggs and sugar until creamy.
Add the sunflower seed oil, milk, vanillin, and mix well.
Sift the flour and baking powder into the bowl and mix until you get a smooth batter.
Divide the batter in half into two separate bowls. In one of the bowls, add the cocoa powder and mix well until you get a homogeneous cocoa batter.
Now start creating the zebra layers. Take a scoop of white batter and pour it in the center of the prepared pan. Then, in the center of this white batter portion, pour a scoop of cocoa batter.
Continue alternating the white and cocoa layers, pouring in the center of the pan each time. The layers will expand as you add the next batter.
Continue pouring the layers until you run out of batter. Make sure to alternate the colors to create a zebra effect.
Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer it to a rack to cool completely.
Once the zebra cake is completely cooled, you can decorate it as you like with a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
Now your delicious zebra cake is ready to enjoy! Bon appétit!
