Salmon and Spinach Balls

The salmon and spinach balls are a light and tasty dish. Soft balls of fresh salmon, fresh spinach, and breadcrumbs. Perfect to enjoy as a main dish accompanied by a side dish, or as an appetizer or for aperitif. With the same mixture, you can also make a delicious burger.

Ingredients

  • 3.5 oz salmon fillet
  • 3.5 oz spinach
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • to taste breadcrumbs
  • to taste fine salt
  • to taste black pepper

Preparation

To prepare the salmon and spinach balls…

  • Wash the spinach, rinse them and place them in the salad spinner to remove excess water.

  • In a frying pan, add the extra virgin olive oil and the washed spinach. Cook them on high heat for a few minutes until they are wilted and dry.

  • Then take the salmon fillet, remove any remaining bones and skin, cut it into pieces, then place it in the food processor or blender.

  • When the spinach is also cooked, add them to the salmon in the food processor and blend until the ingredients are finely chopped.

  • Transfer the mixture to a bowl, add salt and pepper, and add the breadcrumbs. Mix well and form the balls.

  • Finally, place the balls in the basket of the air fryer or on the baking sheet, both lined with parchment paper, and cook for 15 minutes at 392°F. For oven baking, it should be preheated, and the cooking mode should be set to convection.

  • Serve the salmon and spinach balls hot as you prefer.
