Apple and Raisin Compote

The apple and raisin compote is delicious, perfect with yogurt, on toasted bread, or to use as a filling for desserts. It’s truly a hug of flavors.

The idea for this compote came to me because I bought a jar of yogurt that had a similar compote at the bottom, made of apples and cinnamon. The cost, for me, was excessive, and I thought making it at home and adding it to yogurt would be better.

The apple compote tastes similar to strudel filling. It’s easy to prepare using few and simple ingredients. It’s delicious mixed with plain yogurt or as a base on an apple tart, and that touch of cinnamon makes it very fragrant.

It is very simple to prepare both on the stove and with a cooking robot like the Thermomix: at the end of the recipe, you’ll find both methods. With a few steps, you can create a compote rich in flavor, perfect for any occasion.
