Apple Puffs in Air Fryer, crispy, delicious, and visually appealing. Perfect for when you have a sudden craving for sweets, they require very few ingredients: apples, a roll of puff pastry, and jam.
To glaze the apples on the puffs, I didn’t use gelatin but a simple trick my mom taught me as a child: peach jam mixed with a little water! Of course, this step is optional, you can skip it and they will still be great!
I often see these pastries at the supermarket and feel tempted to buy them, but making them at home saves money and they taste even better! I have already made Sweet Prune Puffs which are equally good, but these are the best.
Of course, you can also bake the apple puffs in the oven. At the end of the recipe, you’ll find both cooking methods.

How to Prepare Apple Puffs in Air Fryer
Start by peeling the apples, slice them, and set them aside.
Unroll the puff pastry and cut it in half lengthwise and into three pieces on the short side. You’ll get 6 rectangles.
Fold the edges inward and press them down with your fingertips.
Add some jam, a few apple slices, and cut the parchment paper to size.
Place the puffs in the air fryer on the rack and cook them without preheating for 8 minutes at 320°F, then remove the parchment paper and continue cooking for another 5 minutes.
If you prefer, you can bake the puffs in a preheated oven at 350°F for 25 minutes.
When they are golden, take them out and let them cool.
To glaze the puffs, put the jam and water in a small bowl and mix well. Cover the apples with this mixture and dust with powdered sugar.
