The Banana, Walnut, and Chocolate Ring Cake is a very delicious dessert that I baked in the air fryer. It’s perfect for a snack or breakfast, maybe with a nice cup of tea.
For this cake, it’s better to use very ripe bananas because they are softer and sweeter. I prepare it precisely when they’ve been in the fruit bowl for a few days, start to turn a bit black, and nobody eats them anymore, so instead of throwing them away, I reuse them.
To bake the cake, I used a metal bundt pan with a 7.87-inch diameter.
Of course, if you don’t have an air fryer, you can also bake this ring cake in the oven, the cooking method can be found at the end of the recipe.
If you are considering purchasing one, I recommend an air fryer like mine. You can find the links in the recommended tools!

How to prepare the Banana, Walnut, and Chocolate Ring Cake in Air Fryer
Peel the bananas, slice them, and put them in a bowl, but set aside a few slices for decoration.
Mash them with a fork, add the sugar, oil, eggs, and a pinch of salt. Mix with a whisk and add the flour and baking powder. Once you have a homogeneous batter, add the walnuts and chocolate chips.
Mix well and pour the batter into a greased and floured pan.
Add the reserved banana slices on top.
Bake the ring cake for 30 minutes at 320°F, checking with a toothpick inserted into the batter. If it comes out moist but without bits of raw batter, it means it’s ready.
Let it cool completely before dusting it with powdered sugar.
Notes
Cooking times may vary depending on the model of air fryer you own, always check the cooking.
