Lasagna with meat sauce is the classic Italian Sunday main course, which you can also cook in an air fryer with a modern twist.
This dish is so widespread and appreciated that every family has its own recipe, passed down from generation to generation, with its own meat sauce and unique way of making it.
I deliberately made this lasagna creamy inside but with a crunchy top because my husband likes them that way, in fact, he prefers them reheated the next day because they become crunchier! If you prefer, you can finish the last layer with béchamel for a softer top.
I used dry pasta directly raw, but you can easily replace it with fresh lasagna pasta.
Of course, if you don’t have an air fryer you can also bake these lasagna with meat sauce in the oven, at the end of the recipe you’ll find the cooking methods.

Ingredients for a 8 x 8 inch pan
- 7.1 oz ground beef
- 7.1 oz ground pork
- 17.6 oz tomato sauce
- 5.3 oz soup base mix
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- salt
- 1 1/4 cups béchamel sauce
- 12 sheets egg lasagna (dry)
- 3.5 oz Grana Padano cheese, grated
- 2.8 oz Edam cheese

How to Prepare Lasagna with Meat Sauce in Air Fryer
Prepare the Meat Sauce:
In a pot, heat a drizzle of oil, add the soup base mix, and cook for a couple of minutes. Add the ground beef and pork, brown it by stirring for a couple of minutes, and add the tomato sauce.
Cook the meat sauce for 30 minutes, season with salt and continue cooking for another 20 minutes.
Prepare the Lasagna:
Place a bit of béchamel in the pan and add two sheets of lasagna pasta.
Add a layer of meat sauce, béchamel, grated cheese, and a few pieces of Edam cheese.
Continue until all layers are completed. I made 5 layers of pasta.
Bake at 338°F (170°C) for 25 minutes. Remove from the air fryer and let rest for 5 minutes in the pan before serving.
Notes
If you don’t like the crispy top, finish with a layer of béchamel. I didn’t add it deliberately because my husband prefers them like this.

Yes, of course! Bake it for 30 minutes at 356°F (180°C).
