Nutella Tart in Air Fryer

The Nutella Tart is a very delicious dessert, simple to make, and thanks to the air fryer, it will cook very quickly, saving you time and electricity. You won’t even need to preheat it; you just need to put the pan inside and start cooking!

The shortcrust pastry is buttery and crumbly, you can also prepare it in advance and store it in the fridge for a couple of days. My advice is to double the doses and freeze half of the shortcrust pastry in a food bag, so you’ll have it ready for the next tart.

For optimal tart baking, I recommend a perforated pan with removable edge. In this case, besides having a perfectly cooked pastry, you won’t even struggle to remove the cake from the mold because you’ll lift it with the base.

Preparation of Nutella Tart in Air Fryer

  • Put the butter cut into small pieces and the sugar in a bowl. Start working the mixture by pinching the pieces of butter and sugar with your fingertips. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and continue working, pressing the dough with your fingertips.

Add the flour and a pinch of salt, working with your fingers just enough to form a ball. Wrap the shortcrust pastry in plastic wrap, flatten it slightly (this way it will be easier to roll out) and put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

After the resting time, place the shortcrust pastry on a lightly floured work surface and roll it out with a rolling pin, using a little flour to prevent sticking.

Place the rolled dough in a tart pan, remove the excess and set it aside. Prick the bottom of the tart well with a fork, fill it with Nutella, and level it.

Re-knead the leftover pastry and cut strips, place them on top of the tart arranging them well, and place the pan in the air fryer. Cook it at 320°F for 18-20 minutes.
