Pizza Flavored Chicken Breast

The pizza-flavored chicken breast slices are a delicious and quick-to-make second course. It’s a simple recipe that makes traditional pan-cooked chicken slices tastier and is also enjoyed by children.

There are those evenings when you have absolutely no idea what to cook, and this was precisely one of those! I opened the fridge and saw some leftover sauce from the day before, a pack of chicken slices, and some cheese. I put them together, and this delicious dish came out!

Since Aaron has been saying lately that he doesn’t like chicken (but I know it’s not true), I thought of making it this way, and he ate it. So, here is the recipe, maybe some other mom has the same problem. If you try it, let me know.

  • 4 slices chicken breast
  • 6 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 1 drizzle extra virgin olive oil
  • 2.8 oz edam (or other cheese)
  • 1 pinch dried oregano
  • 1 pinch salt

How to Prepare Pizza Flavored Chicken Breast Slices

  • Pour a drizzle of olive oil in a pan and brown the chicken slices on one side, add a pinch of oregano, a pinch of salt, and flip them to the other side. Cook for about 4 minutes, meanwhile grate the cheese.

    Add the tomato sauce on the slices and finish with the cheese.

    Cover and cook on low heat for a couple of minutes, until the cheese has melted.

    Serve the chicken breast slices hot.
