Ricotta and Chocolate Cake in Air Fryer

The Ricotta and Chocolate Cake is a simple and quick dessert to prepare, and you can bake it either in the air fryer or in the oven. It is a moist cake, with plenty of ricotta in the batter and a little flour, served cut into cubes like American brownies.

It’s an easy cake to make and sure to succeed, with very few ingredients, and you just need to mix everything in a bowl with a spatula or whisk to get a great dessert!

Ingredients

for an 11 x 17 cm pan

  • 9 oz ricotta
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp dark chocolate chips
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 pinch salt

How to Prepare Ricotta and Chocolate Cake in Air Fryer

  • Place the ricotta in a bowl, add a pinch of salt and the egg. Mix with a whisk to blend everything, then add the sugar, chocolate chips, and flour. Also add the lemon juice and mix everything well until you get a smooth cream.

  • Pour the mixture into a greased and floured pan (as I did) or lined with parchment paper. Smooth the surface with a spatula and cook the cake in the air fryer at 320°F for 22 minutes. Let the cake cool before cutting it into pieces.

Notes

Store the cake in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can eat it either at room temperature or chilled from the fridge; I prefer it cold.
