Skewers of Prosciutto and Melon are a fresh and quick second course to prepare, which you can also serve for an appetizer or a buffet. The classic combination of prosciutto and melon is so perfect that it doesn’t even need explanations…
The ingredients are the same as in the caprese salad with melon and prosciutto; this is just a cute idea on how to serve it. You can also use cherry mozzarella balls or scoop out melon balls with a melon baller. I preferred to do it this way, in a quicker manner.
With the heat during this period, I really don’t feel like cooking, so I try to prepare no-cook dishes that are always different and satisfying to the eye. It’s true that we eat with our eyes too, so I serve colorful dishes to make my son more curious to taste them.

How to Prepare Skewers of Prosciutto and Melon
First, remove the seeds from the melon, cut it into slices, and remove the rind.
Cut both the mozzarella and the melon into pieces. Now skewer a piece of melon, some prosciutto, mozzarella, and a cherry tomato on each skewer, alternating the ingredients as I did.
Once the skewers are done, arrange them on a plate and keep them in the fridge until you’re ready to eat them.
