Skillet Gnocchi with Gorgonzola and Walnuts, a first course that is very tasty, creamy, and easy to prepare. In fact, this dish is also very quick to make because the gnocchi are not boiled but cooked directly in the pan with the sauce, so you don’t even have to wait for the water to boil!
I prepared the gnocchi with Gorgonzola, but you can also use Taleggio or another soft cheese that melts well. The walnuts add a crunchiness that fits perfectly. Try it and let me know what you think.

How to Prepare Skillet Gnocchi with Gorgonzola and Walnuts
Place the gnocchi in a skillet, add a cup of milk, the Gorgonzola, and meanwhile, crack open the walnuts and break them coarsely with your hands.
Let it cook for a couple of minutes, then give it a good stir, add the crumbled walnuts (keep some aside for garnish), adjust with salt and pepper, and cook for another 2 minutes, checking that they don’t dry out too much. If needed, add a splash of water.
Turn off the heat, add the grated cheese, stir again, and divide into individual plates. Finish with the reserved walnuts and serve the Gorgonzola gnocchi while still hot.
FAQ (Questions and Answers)
Can I use a different type of cheese?
Yes, of course. You can replace Gorgonzola with Taleggio.
