Sweet Puff Pastries in Air Fryer

The Sweet Puff Pastries in Air Fryer are a super quick dessert made with only 3 ingredients: Ready-made puff pastry, milk, and sugar. Nothing could be simpler!

I had a sheet of puff pastry in the fridge for a while, a sudden craving for sweets, and absolutely no desire to cook. Here’s the right recipe, I paired the pastries with a very quick cream made by mixing ricotta and strawberry jam together.

If you don’t have an air fryer you can bake this dish in the oven, at the end of the recipe you will find the cooking methods. If you’re considering buying one, I recommend mine, you can find the link in the recommended tools!

How to Make Puff Pastry Sheets in Air Fryer

  • Unroll the puff pastry and brush it with a little milk.

Fold the pastry in half on itself and cut it in half, then create the cookies by cutting strips in the other direction and pricking them with a fork.

Brush the entire surface again with milk and add the sugar.

  • They probably won’t all fit in the fryer, so cut the parchment paper in half and do two batches. Also remove the paper from the edges which would otherwise slow down cooking and preheat the fryer to 383°F for 3 minutes.

Cook the pastries in the air fryer at 383°F for about 5 minutes, take them out and put them back in upside down (removing the parchment paper) to cook well underneath. After a couple of minutes, the pastries are ready; let them cool on a plate and proceed with the second batch.

Let the pastries cool completely before serving them.

Your Questions

  • Can I make these pastries in a traditional oven?

Certainly, you will just need to extend the cooking time! Bake them for 10-15 minutes without turning them.
