Ingredients for the Apple Cake

  • 2 eggs
  • 12 oz apples (about 2 apples)
  • 0.4 cups milk
  • 2 tbsps vegetable oil
  • 0.4 cups sugar
  • 1.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Let’s make the apple cake together

  • Making the apple cake is very easy and quick, the longest and most tedious part is cutting an apple!!!!!

  • In a bowl, break the eggs, add the sugar, and mix with a hand whisk. At this point, first incorporate the liquid ingredients like vegetable oil and milk, mix, and then incorporate the powders, i.e., flour and baking powder, previously mixed by sifting.

  • Now let’s focus on the apples. Peel the apples and cut them into pieces, leaving part of them for decoration (I used almost an entire apple for decoration and the rest in pieces). Put the apple pieces in a bowl and flour them with a scant tablespoon of flour, this is a tip to prevent all the apples from sinking to the bottom during cooking.

  • Add the apples to the previous mixture and mix. Take an 8-inch pan, grease and flour it well, making sure to cover the entire surface; otherwise, the apple cake will stick.

  • Pour the apple batter into the cake pan and decorate as desired with the apple left aside.
    I cut thin slices and arranged them in a radial pattern from the outside to the center where I put apple cubes. Once the decoration is complete, sprinkle with granulated or brown sugar.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 356°F for 45/50 minutes, always do the toothpick test before taking it out. Insert a toothpick in the center of the cake, if it comes out dry and clean, then it’s ready; otherwise, cook for a few more minutes.
