Ingredients for Whole Wheat Peach Cake

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 7 tbsp water
  • 1.5 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 2 peaches (nectarines)

  • 1 Scale
  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Whisk
  • 1 Cutting Board
  • 1 Pan

Let’s Make the Whole Wheat Peach Cake Together

  • In a bowl, combine the eggs with the honey and whisk until a frothy mixture is obtained. Then add the liquids, which are water and oil, and mix again.

  • At this point, add the whole wheat flour and the baking powder and mix again until you get a smooth batter. Set the bowl aside and let’s move on to the peaches.

  • After washing them, cut the peaches into irregular pieces, remembering to set some aside for the final decoration. I used nectarines, so I didn’t peel them.

  • Take the batter and pour in the peach pieces, then mix with a spatula until all the fruit is well incorporated.

  • Take the pan and line it with parchment paper, or grease and flour it, then pour in the batter. Slice the reserved peach piece and decorate the cake.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at a temperature of 338°F for 40 minutes. Before removing from the oven, do the toothpick test by inserting a toothpick in the center of the cake. If it comes out dry and clean, our cake is ready. Otherwise, leave it in the oven for another 5 minutes.

  • The whole wheat peach cake with no added sugar is ready. Let it cool slightly before unmolding and eating. In the meantime, take a photo of your dessert and post it on social media tagging me (una riccia che pasticcia instagram and facebook) and let me know what variety of peach you used.

A Curl Recommends

The whole wheat peach cake with no added sugar is a moist cake, so I recommend storing it in the fridge for a couple of days. If you want it taller, use a slightly smaller pan and extend the baking time by 5 minutes.
