Apple and Walnut Tart

Apple and walnut tart with lots of homemade lemon jam, made by me. At the end of this passage, I leave you the link to find the lemon jam recipe, ideal not only for eating on bread at breakfast but especially for making tarts like this one. The sweetness of the shortcrust pastry, I used the vegan one, goes well with the tartness of the lemon, or rather the lemon jam. You will also find how to cook Golden apples in an air fryer with a little sugar and cinnamon.

Ingredients

  • 10 oz vegan round shortcrust pastry (round and vegan)
  • 2 tbsps vegan butter
  • 6 oz lemon marmalade
  • 3 Golden apples
  • 1 oz walnuts
  • 2 tsps sugar
  • 1 tsp powdered sugar

Tools

  • Baking Pan
  • Spoon
  • Apple Cutter

Steps

  • I wanted to try the vegan round rolled-out shortcrust pastry, a breakthrough for preparing a dessert quickly. I used the lemon jam I had made earlier and the Golden apples.

  • No parchment paper is needed: I unrolled the paper with the shortcrust pastry on top. I spread it with all the paper on the 11-inch round pan.

  • I peeled the apples and cut them into wedges using the dedicated apple slicer.

  • I spread my homemade lemon jam on the rolled-out shortcrust pastry and

  • then distributed the coarsely chopped walnuts.

  • Arrange the apple slices in a radial pattern on the tart.

  • Sprinkle with sugar and

  • vegan butter flakes.

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and bake the tart for 30 minutes.

  • And here it is ready!

  • Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy a moment of relaxation with a cup of coffee and a slice of totally vegan and lactose-free apple and walnut tart.

  • Surely you already know that vegan butter does not contain lactose because it is made 100% with plant-based ingredients like olive or coconut oil, or with nuts like cashews.

  • More than good, it’s delicious and suitable for everyone.
