Black mulberry ice cream with the ice cream maker, a gift from my daughter-in-law. The parents, in Sabaudia, a town near Rome, have this majestic tree on their farm. Obviously, not being able to make the ice cream immediately, I froze the mulberries, and I must say it worked out well because, frozen, the ice cream took even less time to prepare. Of course, in August you can’t find black mulberries, so I tell you that I kept them until today when I made the ice cream. When they were given to me, I just couldn’t make it, and the only solution then seemed the most convenient.

Ingredients
- 5.29 oz black mulberries
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup milk
- 3/4 cup fresh whipping cream
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Tools
- Ice Cream Maker
- Kitchen Spatula
- Chopper
- Juicer
Steps
Few ingredients and let’s make simple homemade black mulberry ice cream.
Use a blender or a chopper, like the one I used, to mix the ingredients. Put the black mulberries in the chopper still frozen. Pour the lemon juice over them.
Add the sugar.
The milk.
Start chopping to mix the ingredients together.
Meanwhile, turn on the refrigeration of the ice cream maker; depending on your model, adjust to start it. Add the fresh liquid cream to the mulberry mixture in the chopper.
Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and set the time. Mine takes 30 minutes.
This is the result after 30 minutes from the start.

Tips
I would also like to suggest mango ice cream, a fresh and pleasant exotic fruit.

Can I use other fruits like white mulberries or blueberries to make the ice cream?
Yes, of course, you can substitute the small black mulberries with white ones or even use blueberries, blackberries, or berries in general.
