Coffee Granita with Whipped Cream

Coffee granita with fresh whipped cream just as it should be. I made tiramisu without eggs, and of course, the idea of coffee granita with whipped cream immediately came to mind, just as we prepare it in Sicily, with cold coffee and lots of fresh whipped cream.

Ingredients

  • 7.05 oz coffee
  • 7.05 oz water
  • 4 tsps powdered sugar

  • Meanwhile, I whipped the fresh cream with the planetary mixer and almost finished by adding the powdered sugar.

  • Now all that’s left is to assemble the coffee granita with the whipped cream, and it’s ready to be served as a dessert after a meal or as a snack. Usually in Sicily, I have always been Sicilian, and I don’t know for how many generations, it is common to have breakfast in the morning with this fresh coffee granita with cream and brioches or with lemon granita, mulberries, strawberries, almonds, and I can’t remember how many other flavors we can prepare. So many…

My name is Pina, and my passion is food and cooking in general. On the blog, I focus on regional dishes like those from my birthplace, Sicily. I also feature dishes from Lazio, the region that has hosted me for over 40 years, but in general, I cover all Italian regions. Traveling and exploring is my second passion, so I couldn't leave out dishes from around the "World" on my blog. My blog is divided into simple and essential sections like appetizers, first courses, main courses, side dishes, bread and leavened products, jams and preserves, wines and wineries, and of course, travels. Desserts are included, and finally, there is a dedicated corner for gluten-free options. Easy recipes, explained step by step and always updated.
