Lactose-free condensed milk is really easy to make, and since I discovered how to do it, I no longer buy it. I make it for tiramisu when I don’t use raw eggs and can’t pasteurize them, so I make this clever cream with fresh cream, mascarpone, and obviously condensed milk.

Ingredients to Prepare Condensed Milk

- 8.8 oz gluten-free powdered sugar
- 1 tsp gluten-free cornstarch
Tools
- Saucepan
- Manual Whisk
- Food Scale
Steps
With this lactose-free condensed milk recipe for making desserts and creams, I practically never buy it anymore. I prepare it and store it in the fridge for a month or if I make a lot, I freeze it, and it will keep for at least three months.
Pour the milk into the saucepan and add the butter,
melt the butter and add the sugar with a teaspoon of cornstarch, I always add it because I like my condensed milk very thick, forgive the play on words.
Cook over low heat for 10 minutes, stirring often.
If you want to store it in the fridge for a month, sterilize the jar and once the condensed milk is in, turn it upside down. Or use vacuum sealing. Personally, I always prepare the amount I need at the time of use without storing it.
It’s so easy and quick to prepare that there’s no need to make a lot to store it.
My lactose-free condensed milk is also gluten-free and made with lactose-free milk, so it’s for everyone.
