Ingredients

  • 7.05 oz ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1.41 oz breadcrumbs
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1.06 oz sunflower seeds
  • 1 bunch chives
  • 1 tsp chopped parsley
  • 1 sprig thyme

Tools

  • Pan
  • Bowl
  • Burger Press

Steps

  • In my manual chopper, I finely chopped the carrot with the celery, which I will add to the meat that I always like to prepare well-seasoned. Place the ground beef in a bowl with the finely chopped thyme, chives, and parsley, sunflower seeds, breadcrumbs, egg, celery with carrot, and salt.

  • The ground beef should be kneaded by hand, so after mixing all the ingredients well, form 4 hamburgers with the appropriate press or use a pastry ring. If you prefer, you can coat the hamburgers in breadcrumbs before cooking them.

  • Cook the hamburger in a well-heated pan, 4 minutes per side. Cut two slices of rustic bread and heat them in the pan as well, pressing them lightly.

My name is Pina, and my passion is food and cooking in general. On the blog, I focus on regional dishes like those from my birthplace, Sicily. I also feature dishes from Lazio, the region that has hosted me for over 40 years, but in general, I cover all Italian regions. Traveling and exploring is my second passion, so I couldn't leave out dishes from around the "World" on my blog. My blog is divided into simple and essential sections like appetizers, first courses, main courses, side dishes, bread and leavened products, jams and preserves, wines and wineries, and of course, travels. Desserts are included, and finally, there is a dedicated corner for gluten-free options. Easy recipes, explained step by step and always updated.
